Wishing you and yours a joyous holiday season! We are so grateful that you have joined us for all the excitement of the past year, and we're looking forward to all the wonderful things to come!
Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season,
All the folks at Little Worlds Interactive
PS - The monsters wanted to share a holiday greeting as well
The Counting Kingdom Update
It's hard to believe we're halfway through December already! Recently we’ve been heads down here at Little Worlds Interactive, directing monsters, mixing magical ingredients, and exploring the furthest reaches of The Counting Kingdom. I’m extremely excited to share some peeks into what we’ve been working on in the past month:
World Map
We set out to investigate the four corners of The Counting Kingdom, and the monsters are everywhere! Work your way through 30 different levels across the five regions of the Kingdom. Start with low-level monsters and spells but work up to truly challenging fights.
Higher level enemies
Say hello to the big baddies. We have some newcomers to the fight - monsters now go all the way up to 20! Don’t worry, you’ll earn more powerful spells to deal with them.
Odds and Ends
Saving! Pausing! Credits screen! We’ve added in all sorts of glamorous features like this that get the game up and running.
Keep an eye out for more detailed views of the regions of The Counting Kingdom, as well as profiles of some of the monsters you can expect to come across.
Choose your own Adventure for Thankgiving
I have a lot to be thankful for here at Little Worlds Interactive. I work with some amazingly talented people on a game that I'm so excited to share with the world. I'm also incredibly grateful for everyone who has shared my excitement about The Counting Kingdom; everyone who has played the game at a festival or reached out over Twitter or email. I'd like to give back by sharing a little more of the world with you today - we have another Choose Your Own Adventure!
This week is The Harvest Festival in The Counting Kingdom, and the Apprentice is traveling home for The Harvest Feast. The trip will be full of monsters, ancient and powerful creatures, and snacks! Play Now!
Make your own monster
We like to get crafty here at Little Worlds Interactive, and we decided it was time to bring one of our monsters out of the screen and into the real world. Say hello to Glizzard, one of our many shenanigan-filled trouble-making monsters. Make your own Glizzard to bring some hijinks into your own home!
Things you'll need:
- Card stock (a type of paper that's heavier than printer paper)
- Scissors
- Glue
Directions:
1. Print out the papercraft template on the card stock. Download the template here.
2. Cut out all of the pieces - the body, the tail, and the two ears.
3. Take the body and fold along all the major lines. You want to fold everything back (a mountain fold), except for the feet, which you want to fold forward (a valley fold).
4. Line the large tab up with the back of the monster's face, so that it forms a box. Glue this tab into place.
5. You should now have three tabs along the top, with a flap for the top of the monster's head. Add glue to these three tabs and press the flap down onto them to complete the monster's body.
6. Find the monster's tail. Fold along the lines and glue the tab shut.
7. Glue the "C" part of the tail to the "C" part on the back of the monster's body. The tail should be facing right if you're looking at it from the back.
8. Fold the ears and line up the "A" ear with the "A" region on the body, and the "B" ear with the B region on the monster's body. Now you just need to glue these together, and you're done!
